Here are some pictures of our new house
in Sterling, Virginia.
We will be starting our move during
the month of June.
When Diane and I decided it was time to move, we called Nancy Romeo, the Realtor who helped us with our previous house sale and purchase back in 1994. On Saturday, April 27, Nancy took us house hunting, and when she showed us the second house above, we knew right away that this was the one for us! We immediately put our house up for sale, and within a week's time, we had a contract for full price. Although we had some close calls during the negotiation process, such as the details of radon levels and broken appliance, and wrestling over the closing dates with the seller of this house, and the purchaser of our current house, we were at last able get all parties to agree on a June 30th closing date! We will be renting our new home from the current owner during the month of June, which will allow us to make some upgrades before moving in (upstairs carpets, kitchen counter, dishwasher, washing machine, deck cleaned, etc.). So, the work is just beginning, but we are excited about our new adventure!
