The pictures below, although not really worthy of display, do clearly show the high resolution and creative potential of my new Nikon CoolPix 500 digital camera. This 5 Megapixel chip camera is going to change the way I take pictures forever!
This rather ugly self-portrait reflection of me in a Christmas tree decoration of me is my very first image using my new Nikon CoolPix 500 camera. I set the ISO to 400.

Saturday evening, December 22, Diane and I met with friends for dinner in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. After our meal, we browsed the shops and found this interesting crafts store with a mannequin, lending itself to a digital photograph. I took this picture with the camera set at ISO 200. Although the auto-focus missed the main subject (notice the background is sharpest), it is indeed an interesting subject. The white box is the area I enlarged for the next photo.

An interesting collection of wall clocks in the same store. The next picture is an enlargement of one of these clocks.

My lovely wife, Diane, window shopping along King street in Old Town Alexandria. Notice the shutter speed is a bit too long for my clumsy hand-holding. Next time I will use a tripod.

Stand by...there is more to come!
