The weather was fine and the wine divine at the 25th annual Virginia Wine Festival in The Plains, Virginia held Saturday and Sunday August 19-20, 2000. Diane was in Seattle visiting family for a week, and all alone with nothing much to do, I decided to ride my motorcycle to the Festival. It was so much fun that I came back a second time on Sunday! Here are a few pictures I took on the first day:

Standing on Stage 2 during a transition of bands, I panned the camera taking two shots with a 24mm lens, which I assembled in Photoshop.

I took this picture from a tower where the event officials were hanging out. Stage 1 is on the far right.

The band, Eddie from Ohio, really got the mellow crowd pumped up with great rock and roll tunes. Eddie, playing the drums, nodded approval for me to come up on the back stage during their performance.

Eddie from Ohio rocked the crowd on Stage 2.

Everyone was friendly at the Wine Festival, like Nancy and Tony in this shot. I sat down next to them on the grassy hill to watch the bands play, and soon we were sharing our wine and cheese and having a great time!

Nancy asked me to take her picture . . .

and then she insisted she take mine! Cheers!
